Istanbul bus & Boat tour İstanbul, Türkiye

Description

This tour combines two of the classic sightseen tours of the city: the bus and the ferry, for a unique itinerary between the Bosphorous and the Golden Horn. Two are the main characteristics of this type of tour: the quantity and the variety of the palaces and sites that you will visit - from 8th century palaces to the ancient Byzanthine walls – and the comfort of the bus and the ferry.

The first part of the tour will be made with the ferry. Starting from the port of Kasımpaşa, in front of the Golden Horn, the ferry will pass close to the most famous palaces of the so-called ‘New Ottoman Era’. Witht his term, historicians and architects refer to an epoch of great changes for the Ottoman Empire, with the influence of European culture into the clothes, architecture and art of the Ottomans. The palaces of Çırağan, Dolmabahçe and Beybeleyi (to the last one you will also have a visit to the interns) are considered ones of the most beautiful proucts of this period, with their mesculance of Barocco and Rococò with more classic Ottoman styles.

Other than these sites, the ferry will pass near the two fortress of Anadolu Hisarı and Rumeli Hisarı. Built in few months, the two fortress played an important role in the conquer of Costantinople by the Sultan Fatih Mehmet in the 1453.

The second part of the tour will consist of the bus sightseen tour. The bus tour will take place all around the old walls of Constantinople. The Walls of Constantinople have been very important for the city throughout the history, and they are one of the main reasons for which the Byzanthine Capital could resist for almost one millennium to the foreign armys.

At the middle of the tour, you will have a stop at the famous hill of ‘Pierre Loti’. From this green and quiet location, you will have a tea or turkish coffee in front of a unique view of the Golden Horn. The tour will go on by visiting some of the old city of Pera and the Dolmabahçe Palace.
